Refunds & Returns
If it isn't right, send it back.
The short version
You have 30 days from delivery to return a tool for a refund. It needs to be in resaleable condition. If a tool arrives damaged or turns out to be defective, that's on us — we'll sort it out regardless of the 30 days, and you won't pay return shipping.
Returns within 30 days
To be refunded, an item must come back unused and in its original packaging, in the condition you received it. Assembling a tool and pushing it down a row is fine — that's how you find out whether it fits your ground. Running it through wet clay for three weeks is not; at that point it's a used tool and we can't sell it as new.
Start a return by getting in touch through our contact page before you ship anything. We'll confirm the return and give you the address to send it to. Returns sent without contacting us first can't be tracked back to your order.
Who pays for return shipping
- You changed your mind, or it didn't suit your beds: you cover return shipping, and the original shipping cost isn't refunded.
- It arrived damaged, was defective, or we sent the wrong thing: we cover it, both ways.
Wheel hoe frames are long and heavy. Please keep the original box — replacing it costs more than the shipping does, and a frame packed loose usually arrives bent.
Damaged in transit
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and send photographs of the packaging as well as the tool. Carriers routinely refuse claims without a photo of the outer box, so it's worth taking one before you throw it away.
Defects, and what we do instead of returns
Our tools are bolted rather than welded, and every wear part comes off with a wrench. That means a problem is usually a part, not a tool. If something fails, tell us what it is and we will normally send the replacement part rather than ask you to ship a whole frame across the country — it's faster for you and cheaper for both of us.
Manufacturing defects in the frame are our responsibility. Blades and tines are wear parts: they dull, they bend on rocks, and they're meant to be replaced. Normal wear isn't a defect, but a blade that arrives cracked is.
Refunds
Once your return arrives and we've looked it over, we'll email you either way. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer typically takes a few more business days to post it after we've sent it — if it hasn't appeared a week later, contact us and we'll chase it.
Partial refunds may apply to items returned with obvious signs of use, missing parts, or damage not caused by us.
Exchanges
If you ordered the wrong blade width or want to swap an attachment, contact us and say so directly — an exchange is usually simpler than a return followed by a new order, and we'd rather you end up with the right tool.
Questions
Ask before you buy rather than after. If you tell us the width of your narrowest row and what you're growing, we'll tell you honestly whether a tool fits — including when the answer is that it doesn't. Reach us through the contact page.
